Wait, what?! Could it be that the greatest quarterback of his generation—relax, before Tom Brady—is eyeball-deep in the CBD industry? Well, Joe Montana launched the venture capital firm Liquid 2 Ventures and he’s invested in both Herb, a cannabis content company, and Caliva, a brand that sells a wide variety of CBD-infused products including Epsom salt, intimacy oil (lube), flower sticks, water and more.
“As an investor and supporter, it’s my opinion that Caliva’s strong management team will successfully develop and bring to market quality health and wellness products that can provide relief to many people and can make a serious impact on opioid use or addiction,” Montana said.
When you’re an NFL legend, that’s all he has to say to make this ranked list of sports CBD influencers. It’s Joe Montana, y’all!
